Hi all, how are you doing?
A number of beauty solutions we need can be
found right around us, in our homes and kitchens.
Check out some uses of basic fruits and
materials around us;
Salt;
This I can personally testify to, I use it as my facial scrub once I run
out of my regular supply, it works wonders.
Sugar; Can also be used as a facial scrub,
mix it with honey for better result.
Oatmeal; This you can use to make a facial
mask. Mix water and oatmeal together, and cook. Then set the oatmeal aside to
cool and thicken. As it is cooling, mix in honey. Once the mask is well mixed
and cool, apply a thin layer to the skin. Oatmeal absorbs excess oil on the
skin and in the pores, it also helps remove excess skin cells, and exfoliate
the skin.
Lemon; Lemon juice helps to exfoliate and
freshen the skin. It’s so easy to mix
and use, Mix 1 part of water to 5 parts of lemon juice and massage the solution
into your skin (you can use cotton balls). Rinse off completely after some
minutes.
Pawpaw; Pawpaw is high in
healing enzymes; it’s good for highly sensitive skin and for skin that have high
exposure to the sun. Peel a ripe pawpaw, remove the seeds, chop into small
pieces and blend. Do not add water. Apply directly on skin and leave on for about
10-20 minutes. You can add honey to it.Rinse off with warm water.
Carrot; Carrot facial mask is very effective for facial skin restoration , you feel fresh, you skin feels
firmer and the skin is revived immediately after use.Cut a carrot in half. Grind it. Squeeze out the juice and place it in a bowl. Add honey,leave on for 10mins.Rinse off with warm water,followed by cold water.
Egg; Egg whites cleanse, exfoliate and tighten; where egg yolks moisturize, feed, and soothe your skin.
Separate the egg white and yolk into different bowls. If you have oily skin add a few drops of lemon juice to the egg white, this will help drain excess oil (don't if you have dry skin, it will only irritate your skin). leave the mask on for 20-25 minutes, until it "hardens out"Take the egg white off your face, use cold water if necessary Spread the egg yolk in the same way as you did the egg white, leave the mask on for another 20-25 minutes Then wash it off with a warm wet wash cloth and warm water, end with a splash of cold; pat your skin dry with a clean towel. Finally apply a moisturizer.
